As a girl in public school, I began to write for my own entertainment but that didn’t last after I
started high school. I was well into my senior citizen stage before I began to focus on writing again. Local newspapers published several historical articles then I answered a call for submissions by the Brucedale Press. My short story The Gravel Pit was accepted and published in 2014. The editor and publisher encouraged me to continue to write. I am a keen student of local history and the summer of 2017 my book about the pioneers who settled in the community of Oxenden, Keppel Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada was published. In 2019, Big Bay & North Keppel, my chronicles of settlers in that nearby community was published by The Brucedale Press followed by Lake Charles. In fall 2023, I would like to introduce Zion Keppel, The Way It Was, which is available by appointment or by chance at 102 Grandore Street, Georgian Bluffs, Ontario. (519) 270-2098.
